Day 01 Arrive Delhi
Arrive at Delhi airport in morning and transfer to hotel. Afterwards, pick up from hotel and start for the sightseeing. Delhi has a rich history and is considered to be around 5000 years old. Delhi was also known as Indraprastha. Very few know that Delhi is World’s second most bird-rich capital city after Nairobi in Kenya. Visit Red Fort which houses a number of ancient museums and was also the residence for the Mughals. It has been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, visit the Jama Mosque (Jama Masjid) which is the biggest mosque in India. Jama Mosque is designed with Red sandstone and white marble. Afterwards, visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was executed on 31st January, 1948. Raj Ghat is a black marble platform which is the spot of his cremation.
New Delhi: Sightseeing in New Delhi includes visit to Qutub Minar which is the world’s tallest brick minaret. Next, proceed to visit Humayun Tomb which has also been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and was also the first structure to use Red Sandstone at such a big scale. Later, drive past India Gate and other famous Government Buildings. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02 Delhi – Agra (Distance – 210 Km, 3/4 Hours drive)
After a leisurely breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Agra – City of Taj. Reach Agra and transfer to your hotel. After some refreshments, proceed to visit Agra Fort. Agra Fort is also called “Red Fort of Agra” and has been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Agra Fort is an important Fort in Indian history as many Mughal rulers such as Babur, Humayun, Akbar and few others governed from here and so the design and structure of this Fort is a typical example of Mughal architecture. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03 Agra – Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (Distance – 250 Km, 6/7 Hours drive)
Visit Taj Mahal at sunrise. It is advisable to visit Taj at sunrise. In the morning, the sky is usually clear and there are not too many people. Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Mughals were great builders and Taj Mahal is one of the finest examples of Indo-Islamic architecture. Taj was built in white marble and took almost 20 years for its completion. Return to hotel for breakfast. Afterwards, check out from the hotel and proceed to Jaipur via visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built during the 16th century by Akbar and was also the capital of the Mughals for about 10 years but was later abandoned due to scarcity of water. Continue drive to Jaipur. Reach Jaipur and check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 04 Jaipur full day Sightseeing
Breakfast will be at the hotel. Afterwards start the sightseeing of the city with visit to Amber Fort. Also known as Amer Fort as it is located in Amer, which is at a distance of 11 Km from Jaipur. It looks more of a Palace than a Fort. The architecture of Amber was commenced by Maharaja Man Singh I (Dec 21st, 1550). It is one of the most prominent forts which have a style of both Hindu and Muslim elements. Amer Fort is also famous for Siladevi Temple where Raja Man Singh used to pray to win in the battles. There are Four main courtyards in this fort namely Hall of Public Audience (Diwan-i-Am), Hall of Victory (Jai Mandir), Hall of Pleasure (SukhNiwas), Women’s quarters (The Zenana).
Another attraction of Amber Fort is The Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace). Many famous songs in Film industry have been shot in this palace. Proceed to visit City Palace, JantarMantar and HawaMahal Located in the center of the city, this palace has Courtyards, Gardens and Buildings. Like other Forts and Palaces of Jaipur, this palace too has a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Maharaja Sawai Jai SinghII initiated the construction of this palace between 1729 and 1732. City Palace once, was the seat of the Maharaja. Afterwards, visit JantarMantar which is the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different regions of the country. If time permits, then visit HawaMahal, famously known as Palace of Winds. It is a five-storey sandstone structure and was built in 1799. This was the Palace for women at the windows of this beautiful palace had holes from which the women could see through the activities. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05 Jaipur – Delhi (Distance – 270 Km, 6/7 Hours drive)
Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, leave for Delhi. Reach Delhi and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 06 Delhi – Amritsar (By Train) – Golden Triangle tour with Golden Temple
Morning transfer to New Delhi railway station to board the train to Amritsar. Breakfast will be in train. Reach Amritsar by afternoon and transfer to hotel. After some refreshments, visit Wagah Border ceremony. This ceremony between Indian and Pakistan army is a memorable experience for everyone. Return to hotel in evening. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 07 Amritsar – Delhi (By Train)
After breakfast, visit the world famous Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. Later, in the afternoon transfer to Railway station to board the train for Delhi. Reach Delhi and transfer to hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 08: Delhi – Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Delhi International Airport to board the flight for onwards journey.
