Brief Description


Day 01: Guwahati
Arrive Guwahati airport and meeting & assistance upon arrival. Transfer to the airport. Guwahati is the commercial capital city of the northeastern state of Assam. Formerly known as Pragjyotishpur (the City of Eastern Light), Guwahati is the biggest city of Assam in India. Night stay at the Hotel.

Day 02:
Guwahati – Kaziranga Natinal park (200 kms/4 hrs apprx)
After breakfast, visit Kamakhya temple located atop the Nilachal hill, at a distance of 10 km from the railway station. Known to be the most revered among the tantrik shrines of Shakti worship in the world, Kamakhya, was built in the 10th century by the Koch king, Naranarayan. Animal sacrifice is a common practice here to appease the Goddess. Drive to Kaziranga, home to the famous one horned rhino. Reach Kaziranga, you can choose to stay at the jungle resort. Visit the local tea estate.

Day 03: Kaziranga National Park.
In the morning, you will set out to explore the natural beauty and wilds of the jungle on the back of the elephant. Hire the mahouts (trainer) who will guide you through through the park. You can engage in Bird watching on the lake side. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04:
Kaziranga National Park – Shillong (280 kms/6 hrs apprx)
After breakfast drive to Shillong, Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, is a hill town, situated in the north eastern part of India. Shillong in Meghalaya is situated at an altitude of 1496 m above sea level. Over night stay at the hotel.

Day 05:
Shillong
After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji which receives the highest rainfall in the world. Cherrapunji provides you the ample opportunity for cave exploration in this area. Witness the Orange Grooves, which are the main attraction of this region. After taking lunch make a move towards the Nohkalikai Falls, situated 5 km from Cherrapunji. Return to Shillong for the overnight stay.

Day 06:
Shillong – Guwahati (100 kms/2 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Guwahati airport to board the flight for onward journey.
